Day in Beauty, Vol. 8: A Cute Cat Clutch, Misa Jewelry, and a NARS Spring 2022 Makeup Tutorial - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Um…will yous be my Valentime?
Aye, daughter, I said "Valentime."
V-Twenty-four hour period hints and Misa Jewelry
Not to drop hints or anything…just OK, I'g dropping mad hints right now, to whom it may concern. 🙂
(Ahem! That's probably going to be you lot, El Hub.)
To make it easier for him (El Hubster) — you know, just for ideas — I sent him some links this morning, like, "Hint, hint! Valentime's Day is correct around the corner!" and 1 of the links was to Misa Jewelry.
I institute out near them from my friend Erika at Makeup Pocketbook (she simply started posting on her web log once again, BTW, which I'm very excited about!). Check out her contempo lifestyle posts about aureate tableware animalism and the craziness that is ironing your bedding.
Anyhow, the jewelry. Information technology's got a beachy-ish, Hawaii vibe and these great organic shapes.
I'm all almost that branch serial… I simply remember the pieces are and then dainty and different.
It's fine jewelry, and then information technology'southward kinda expensive, but some of the items (I spotted a few in the branch series) are a relatively doable splurge. I've got my centre on the Roots Vine Necklace ($175 for the sterling silver version) and the Twig Ear Pin ($165).
Um…yeah. Wink, flash! — in case you demand to drop a hint for somebody!
This Jetoy Choo Choo True cat bag
If jewelry isn't your affair, might I interest you in this astonishingly cute and 100% cat lady-approved kitty clutch by Jetoy Choo Choo United states?
Raise your hand paws if you'd absolutely freak out (in a expert mode) if your partner said "I lurve y'all" and gave you this Jetoy Cat Face up Fur Clutch ($48).
I'd be like, "LUV You FUR-E'er!!!"
But I'm the last person who needs another bag…
Wait — forget that. No, I'm not. I'one thousand NOT the final person. I NEED another bag, LOL! This one's but too dang ambrosial, with that cat and the pom-pom…
A NARS Spring 2022 makeup tutorial featuring Janice Daoud
So, I'm hoping against all hope — because I haven't worn any existent makeup for the past couple of days except for five-minute makeup with tinted moisturizer, brows, mascara, tight lined liner, gloss and blush (seriously, that's all v minutes) — that this new NARS makeup tutorial is going to inspire me to do astonishing things with their leap 2022 collection this weekend.
The video stars Janice Daoud, my favorite NARS artist. She's from here in the Bay Area, and she'southward been with NARS for years. Girl is such a sweetheart — like, the nicest person — and she's so, SO cute. Oh, and her makeup skills are bangin'.
The video's a kind of fancy, interactive Facebook thing (it doesn't seem to work in Google Chrome for some reason). It's non just a regular makeup tutorial. There are these 360-degree views, with the eyes on one screen, lips on another, etc., and if y'all're watching on a mobile device, and yous tilt it, or if you click and drag your mouse on your computer screen, you lot can go directly to whichever part of the tutorial you want to, so you don't have to watch the whole thing (unless yous want to).
Kewl. And I think the final look is super pretty.
Everything's about to alter…
I did put on a little makeup today, which was a big step up from what's been my new usual state lately.
Can I simply tell you (please don't tell anyone else, though…) that terminal night was the grossest I've been in a very long time. I went to bed without i) washing my face (granted, I wasn't wearing any makeup) or 2) taking a shower.
I was but as well exhausted, man. BG has been kicking my butt lately. It's like that whole Invasion of the Body Snatchers thing. She's been putting in some serious overtime in terms of sucking the life outta me. I hateful, you don't understand! — my drive for personal cleanliness is usually very stiff, but I was and so tired final night that I almost didn't change into pajamas. It's that serious.
I have an appointment to go to the salon this weekend, so maybe that'll restore some of my personal intendance energy. Sometimes it helps to but sit and veg in those chairs for a couple hours…
When I saw on my calendar today that I had the appointment, I had an "OMG, my life is near to alter!" moment (which I've been having a lot lately).
Information technology might be a while before I go back to the salon…and when I do go, I'll need someone to watch Baby Daughter!
It merely hits me at weird times.
Speaking of hair, I take absolutely no plans to go crazy with it. I don't think I should do anything as well high maintenance… The terminal thing I need right now is a big pilus change.
Your thoughts on ASOS?
Accept yous ever shopped in that location before? I was googling "nursing dress" the other night and ended up on their website.
They had a agglomeration of stuff on sale. I ordered a couple of nursing dresses (which are super beautiful), merely now I'm kind of freaking out a little considering the website says that their maternity clothes are true to size but, like, I've heard some people say that ASOS clothes run modest, and then I'm thinking, "Corking, I got these cute dresses on sale, but they're gonna be too small."
Maybe I should just wait 'til they really become here before I panic… LOL!
I promise their motherhood line works out for me because I'd love to be able to clothing the dresses afterwards BG is born. I gotta say, I'yard really getting tired of wearing the same v outfits.
OK, cheers for hanging out and listening. I hope you're doing well.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty aficionado,
Karen
